Peer Team Consultation Meetings

These are weekly 2 hour meetings with the individual therapist, the group leader, the group co-leader, the medication specialist, possibly a nutritionist, or anyone who is able and willing to be a part of the specialized therapy team. The purpose of these meetings is to support team for the team members, who frequently need additional support when treating difficult-to-treat clients, as well as provide a forum for discussion of cases and application of DBT principles, in addition to being a way to learn more about DBT and the strategies in group that each of the providers need to practice for themselves (Linehan, 2015; Vaughn, 2018).
